Whenever possible, you want your photos to tell a story. Sometimes it’s a complicated story. Sometimes it’s very simple. This Long-Tailed Weasel lives in a hole in a grassy field. I was really pleased to get the weasel coming out of a well-defined hole in a reasonably sized dirt mound. Just the right amount of grass texture off to the side, but a smooth background behind. And a bit of dirt on its face to tie everything together.
