A Short-Tailed Weasel pauses in a talus field while carrying a Northern Red-Backed Vole back to its den up in the Alaskan alpine tundra. Compared to the amount of time I’ve spent, I’ve seen far more weasels in alpine environments than anywhere else. I’m guessing it’s partly because they’re much easier to see on talus
